Survivor recap
At one point in last night’s ‘Survivor’ episode, it appeared as if Syracuse University’s own Eliza Orlins’ demise was all but sealed. Early in the episode, two of Orlins’ tribe mates, Scout and Dolly, made a stunning pact to vote Eliza off should they head to tribal council.
In last night’s show it was clear that Eliza was the star. Orlins quickly got the women’s team off to a great start in the first of the episode’s two challenges and, in the second challenge, the cameras focused on how improper leadership had led Orlins astray, causing a mistake that would force her team to vote off one of its own.
Things weren’t looking optimistic for Orlins, who could tell she was in the hot seat. The pre-law major quickly conspired with her teammates, finding out who they were going to vote for, and pinning their anger on Dolly, who everyone soon learned was wavering between the two cliques that had formed in the tribe.
When the groups headed to tribal council, Eliza told ‘Survivor’ host Jeff Probst that she was still unsure of her fate.
In the end, though, it wasn’t Orlins who was voted off, but instead the waffling Dolly. So Orlins survived and continues to build upon her pseudo-celebrity status on campus-at least for one more week.
