Additional Macklemore tickets to go on sale Monday

Tickets to see rapper and producer duo Macklemore and Ryan Lewis in the Carrier Dome will go on sale for the second time starting Monday at 11 a.m.

The concert is scheduled for Nov. 11 in the Dome, where doors will open at 6:30 p.m., and the show is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. Tickets, which were first available to students in June, can be purchased online and at the Schine Box Office for $15.

This is the second time tickets for the concert are on sale. University Union announced this was to give freshmen a chance to purchase floor and first-level reserved seating.

“Given the strong numbers so far, we think these tickets will sell well this week,” said Kelly Benini, director of concerts at UU.

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis debuted their first full-length album “The Heist” in October, which included tracks like “Thrift Shop” and “Can’t Hold Us.” The show is a stop on the duo’s fall tour, making this show the first time UU has brought a world tour through Syracuse. Rappers Talib Kweli and Big K.R.I.T. will open the concert.

“His live show is incredible and the production behind the tour is going to be a sight to see,” said Benini. “You don’t want to miss it.”
