2015 3-star defensive end Pickard flips Wisconsin pledge, becomes Syracuse’s 25th commitment
Three-star defensive end Jake Pickard flipped his verbal commitment from Wisconsin to Syracuse’s Class of 2015, he announced via Twitter on Friday evening.
The Millburn (New Jersey) High School senior chose the Orange over the Badgers and an offer from Michigan. The announcement comes just a day after two-star defensive tackle Steven Clark reaffirmed his commitment to Syracuse after taking his official visit to Florida.
Pickard, at 6 feet, 6 inches and 232 pounds, is the tallest of the Orange’s five incoming defensive ends, which include Qaadir Sheppard, Amir Ealey, Brandon Ginnetti and Dana Levine. Pickard is also the fourth SU 2015 recruit to come from the state of New Jersey and the 25th overall commitment to Orange’s incoming group.
