Men’s 4×100-meter relay team breaks SU record at Miami Hurricane Alumni Invitational

At the Miami Hurricane Alumni Invitational, the men’s group of Winston Lee, Kashif Miller, Angelo Goss and Matt Moore broke the Syracuse record in the 4×100-meter relay race with a time of 40.22 seconds. The previous record of 40.31 had stood for over two decades.

Syracuse was lifted all meet by the performance of its sprinters. SU’s Justice Richardson, Kadejhia Sellers, Imani Clark, and Dasia Pressley won the women’s 4×100-meter relay with a time of 45.67 seconds.

Senior men’s sprinter Winston Lee (10.47) finished seventh overall in the 100-meter dash, fourth among NCAA runners. Clark, Pressley, Sellers, Richardson, and Eunice Boateng represented Syracuse on the women’s side of the 100 meter. Clark came in fifth place with a scalding 11.44 time. Right behind her was Pressley (11.59) and Sellers (11.61) in sixth and seventh. Richardson crossed 15th and Boateng did not finish.

The Orange’s sprinters continued their strong showing in the 110 and 100 meter hurdles. In the men’s 110 meter, Matt Moore, Angelo Goss, and Richard Floyd finished third, fourth, and fifth, respectively, while Jamil Adams and Kelvin Almonte took eighth and 11th, respectively. Aviana Goode (13.80 seconds) and Danielle Delgado (13.97 seconds) both placed in the top-10 among all women’s competitors.

Delgado also participated in women’s 400-meter hurdles, placing 17th of 18 competitors with a time of 1:08.57.



Clark (23.58) and Pressley (23.61) placed seventh and eighth overall with Cheyenne Trigg and Justice Richardson crossing after them at 26th and 31st. In the men’s 200-meter, SU’s Kashif Miller came in fifth place, second among NCAA runners. Matt Moore, Winston Lee, and Kelvin Almonte also represented the Orange in 11th, 13th, and 27th places, respectivley.
