Justyn Knight, Chris Fox to stay together at professional level

Wasim Ahmad | The Daily Orange

Justyn Knight was a sophomore when Syracuse won the 2015 men's cross country national championship.

Justyn Knight, a two-time individual national champion at Syracuse, has signed his first professional contract. He’s the first signee of the new Reebok Boston Track Club.

Knight will be joined by his Syracuse head coach, Chris Fox, who retired from collegiate coaching to pursue professional opportunities. Fox will continue to coach Knight after four years of coaching him at Syracuse.

Fox and Knight will be joined by two more familiar faces from SU: Martin Hehir, who was a senior on the 2015 men’s cross country national championship team, and Adam Smith, who assisted Fox at Syracuse.

At Syracuse, Knight won the 2017 men’s cross country national championship as an individual, along with the indoor 5K title as a senior, too. He was a sophomore on the 2015 Syracuse team that won the national title under Fox.

Reebok has announced two other signings to Reebok Boston Track Club, as well. Kemoy Campbell, a 27-year old Jamaican distance runner who competed at Arkansas in college, joins Knight and Hehir on the men’s side. Tori Gerlach, a distance runner who graduated from Penn State in 2017, joins on the women’s side.
