Syracuse will play two home exhibition games against Division II opponents to open the 2018-19 season, SU Athletics announced in a release Thursday morning.
The first matchup will take place on Oct. 25 against The College of Saint Rose, and six days later SU will have a Halloween meeting with Le Moyne College.
Saint Rose finished last season with a 21-10 record, losing to the Dolphins in the East Regional semifinal in the Division II NCAA Tournament. The head coach at Saint Rose, Brian Beaury, has coached the Golden Knights for 31 years, winning 622 games in his tenure.
Le Moyne is coached by the son of Michigan head coach John Beilein, Patrick Beilein. The Dolphins went 27-7 last season, losing one round after knocking out Saint Rose at the hands of West Texas A&M.
The last time Syracuse lost a preseason exhibition game came at the hands of Le Moyne prior to the 2009-10 season in an 82-79 defeat. That seemingly had no bearing the season, as the Orange went 30-5 that year.
