This is one of at least 26 racist or bias-related incidents to occur at or near Syracuse University since early November.

A driver in a passing vehicle shouted a racial slur at two Syracuse University students on University Place early Saturday morning, the Department of Public Safety said.

The driver yelled the slur out of the vehicle’s window at about 1:30 a.m., DPS said in a bias incident report. The incident occurred between Ernie Davis and DellPlain halls and did not involve a physical altercation.

DPS officers met with the two students to provide resources and support, DPS said. There are no suspects, and the department is investigating the incident, the report said.

At least 26 racist, anti-Semitic and bias-related incidents have occurred at or near Syracuse University since Nov. 7.
