6-foot-9 Serbian prospect Petar Majstorovic has signed a National Letter of Intent to join Syracuse men’s basketball for the 2024-25 season, the program announced Friday. The forward appeared in 34 games in the France Under-21 in 2023-24, averaging 9.7 points and 7.0 rebounds for Asvel Basket Lyon-Villeurbanne.

While shooting just under 63% from the field, Majstorovic recorded seven double doubles in 34 contests, also scoring in double digits 19 times. He was born in Sombor in the province of Vojvodina, Serbia, but moved to Haguenau, France.

He first competed in France in the 2021-22 season with AS Alsace in the U-21 B League. With Alsace, he averaged 9.8 points and 8.4 rebounds. In his second season, he improved upon those numbers, scoring 14.0 points per game and collecting 9.4 rebounds.

Majstorovic recently turned 19 years old in July and will enroll as a freshman at SU. With him now in the mix, it adds depth to the Orange frontcourt consisting of Eddie Lampkin Jr. and Naheem McLeod at center and Chris Bell, Donnie Freeman and Jyáre Davis at forward.
