No. 2 Syracuse (6-0, 2-0 Atlantic Coast) fell behind early for the second straight game before pulling ahead in the second half to defeat host No. 11 Boston College (4-3, 0-1), 3-2, Saturday afternoon. Emma Lamison led the way for the Orange with a goal and an assist, while Alma Fenne and Emma Russell both added goals of their own.

Russell tied the program record of 47 career goals, set by Lindsey Conrad, with 1:17 remaining in the first half. Boston College scored two unanswered goals to take a commanding lead in just over the first 25 minutes of the game before Russell pulled SU within one.

Russell is leading the team with five goals on the season and has 12 points, also a team high.

The scoring slowed down after halftime, but Fenne redirected a ball into the top corner of the net to tie the game at the 63:27 mark.

With 30 seconds remaining in the game, Lamison brought the ball from the left side, moved past a defender and scored. The goal marked the second straight game of late heroics after SU scored the go-ahead goal last week against North Carolina with under four minutes left in regulation.

A transfer from Northeastern in her first season with SU, Lamison is tied for both the second-most goals and points on the team with four and 10, respectively.

Syracuse earned seven penalty corners, one more than the Eagles, but failed to convert off any of their set pieces.

The Orange looks to remain undefeated tomorrow in a matchup against the Yale Bulldogs (2-2). The game is set to start at 2 p.m.
