Wow. I would drink this one over and over again. I have had beers from BrewDog brewery before and they have been well balanced with good flavor, but Chaos Theory takes the cake. This Scottish take on a West Coast India pale ale not only succeeds but excels at making me want to drink more. The ale pours a copper hue and smells of sweet citrus to the tone of grapefruit, orange zest and, of course, delicious hops. The taste is magnificent, boasting a slightly bitter grapefruit punch with a well-rounded hop and fruity finish. Carbonation is a bit light, but it really doesn’t detract. At 7.1 percent ABV I would be careful because Chaos Theory is so good it might prove just to be one.

Dogma proved to be quite the strange beer, boasting ingredients of honey, kola nut, poppy seed and guarana. Dogma takes on a dark amber color when poured and smells slightly like caramel with nutty hints and a honey-like overtone. The taste is just as strange with similar caramel and malt flavors, but slight hop and poppy seed flavors are also introduced. While not bad, I wouldn’t say that I would get this again. With almost 8 percent ABV and such a whacky taste, I think I would reserve this for dessert.

Punk India Pale Ale

Punk is one of the first beers I saw produced by BrewDog, and it was about time I actually I tried it. Punk pours fairly light for an India pale ale and comes through in the flavor department as the beer has a typical hop and citrus base. There are slight malt notes and an overall weaker taste as far as IPAs go. However, this is not bad because it makes Punk quite drinkable and quite enjoyable as a session beer. At only 6 percent ABV, I found Punk to be a beer I would drink again.
