Singer drinks with students at SU area bars
Country music superstar Kenny Chesney may have rocked the Great New York State Fair last night, but on Monday night he rocked the Syracuse area a little closer to the Hill.
Yesterday, rumors quickly circulated around the Syracuse University campus about the singer’s appearances at two Marshall Street area bars on the previous night. The rumors, it turns out, were no fabrication.
Chesney visited Faegan’s Caf & Pub and Chuck’s Caf on Monday. Last night, Tara Banerjee, a junior fashion design major employed at Chuck’s, and Nick Panito, a senior engineering major employed at Faegan’s, each confirmed the singer’s appearances on Monday night at their respective places of employment.
Still, Chesney, known for such hits as ‘Big Star,’ ‘When the Sun Goes Down’ and ‘She Thinks My Tractor’s Sexy,’ didn’t let his escapades get in the way of his show at the Fair, which was his latest stop on his ‘Guitars, Tiki Bars and a Whole Lot of Love’ tour. His tour continues tonight with a stop at the Great Allentown Fair in Allentown, Pa.
